hello world
Yeah, I’m leading with my geeky side. Figure I’ll get it out of the way before anyone raises their expectations or anything…
So… third try at writing a blog. Maybe it will stick this time. I’m trying to grasp this concept that this is all about ME. I’m so ingrained to make everything about everyone else, it’s very strange to try to do something “selfish” but I’m giving it a shot, and I’m hoping that it will translate to my creativity which is completely stymied at the moment in a bog of “other people’s expectations” all of which I, myself, have inserted into my head.
I imagine I will attempt to put some focus on writing, the writing process, and so forth in this blog, as I would like to write more, but I’ll also use it as a place to vent, mumble, ramble, meander, think out loud (does it count if it’s typing?), celebrate happiness, wallow in sadness… basically anything I want it to be.
In all of this, I invite my fans to look into this window on my mind, life, spirit, and soul. I realized recently that so many people see only my stories on my website and the person behind them is hidden in shadows and anonymity. Maybe by you knowing me, and perhaps by me getting to know a few more of you than I do… somehow some magic will dissolve this mire that is drowning my creativity and I will reclaim what I am truly meant to be… among other things… a writer.
